These Terms & Conditions govern your use of beyondcommoneducation.com and the consulting services offered by Beyond Common Consulting, LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to these terms.

1. Our Services

Beyond Common Consulting provides educational consulting, coaching, and guidance to students and families throughout the college planning and admissions process. Our services are advisory. The scope, fees, and deliverables of any engagement are set out in a separate agreement provided before work begins.

2. No Guarantee of Outcomes

While we strive to help students present their strongest applications and make informed decisions, we cannot and do not guarantee admission to any college or university, receipt of scholarships or financial aid, accommodations, academic success, or any other specific outcome.

College admissions decisions, scholarship awards, disability accommodations, and institutional policies are determined solely by the colleges, universities, and organizations involved. Past results do not guarantee future outcomes.

3. Educational Purpose — Not Professional Advice

Information, recommendations, and guidance provided through Beyond Common Consulting reflect our professional assessment at the time of preparation and are provided for educational and strategic planning purposes only. They should not be considered legal, financial, medical, or psychological advice.

For specialized guidance, students and families should consult the appropriate qualified professionals — such as admissions offices, financial aid officers, licensed attorneys, disability services providers, physicians, or licensed mental health professionals.

4. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information and to submit your own authentic work. We support and advise; we do not complete applications, essays, or coursework on a student’s behalf, and we do not condone misrepresentation in any application. Because deadlines and requirements change year to year and vary by institution, you are responsible for verifying them directly with the colleges and application platforms involved.

5. Fees

Fees, payment schedules, and any refund terms are described in your engagement agreement. Amounts shown on this website are indicative and may change.

6. Confidentiality

Client records, documents, essays, and communications shared with Beyond Common Consulting are treated as strictly confidential and are maintained for the exclusive use of the named client. We will not share these materials with any third party without the express written consent of the client (or, where applicable, the parent or guardian), except as required by law. Where the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) applies, we handle student information consistent with its requirements.

7. Intellectual Property

The content on this site, together with any reports, materials, guidance documents, methodologies, and proprietary frameworks we create, is the exclusive intellectual property of Beyond Common Consulting, LLC, protected under copyright law. No portion may be reproduced, distributed, transmitted, or used to create derivative works without our prior written permission. Materials we provide to you may be used for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in connection with your engagement.

8. Information Accuracy & Third-Party Sources

Our guidance may draw on publicly available college websites, admissions-office publications, financial aid resources, and our own research. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or continued availability of third-party information, and we encourage you to verify any specific claim — especially deadlines, policies, and financial aid details — directly with the relevant institution.

Third-party names and trademarks referenced — including The Common Application, Coalition for College, the College Board, and individual institution names — belong to their respective owners. Beyond Common Consulting has no affiliation with these entities unless explicitly stated.

9. AI-Assisted Content

Portions of our written materials, summaries, and resources may be produced with the assistance of large language models. We review outputs before delivery but do not guarantee freedom from factual errors or outdated information. Clients are encouraged to verify any specific claim — particularly regarding college policies, deadlines, or financial aid — before acting on it.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from our services is limited to the fees you paid for the engagement in question. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
